Nils Karlson is CEO and founder of The Ratio Institute – an independent Swedish research institute focusing on the conditions for enterprise, entrepreneurship and market economy and political change. After doctoral studies in economics and political science at George Mason University and Uppsala University, he in 1993 earned his doctorate with a thesis on State State: An inquiry into the role of invisible hands in politics and civil. He is also a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and Mont Pelerin Society.
